Michael Zorc labored for Borussia Dortmund from 1998 to 2022, first as director of soccer and from 2005 as sporting director.

On the membership’s annual normal assembly on Monday, it was formally introduced that the 62-year-old is returning in an essential function. He was elected to the supervisory board with 90.08 % of the votes.

Along with Zorc, Carsten Schmid was appointed to the board to switch departing members Christian Kullmann and Bodo Löttgen.

The best way for Zorc’s comeback was paved by managing director Hans-Joachim Watzke, who himself is getting ready to go away the boardroom.

“I’ve spent many hours attempting to persuade Michael Zorc,” Watzke stated in a speech.
