While Manchester United are desperate to see rivals City fail in their bid to match their memorable treble win from 1999, one team will be cheering them on.
They could win all three trophies in a 13 day period and Feyenoord, currently leading the Eredivisie, will be hoping City do the business.
The Dutch giants, who met City in the 201718 Champions League group stages, are currently eight points clear of PSV after 30 games and look good value to win a first title since 2017.
The winner of the Eredivisie secures automatic qualification to the Champions League but normally goes into pot three because of the UEFA coefficient ruling.
However, as per AD, if City are successful in all competitions then Feyenoord will find themselves in pot one – alongside Pep Guardiola’s side.
Pot one is made up of the top six countries in the coefficient ranking for this season, as well as both the Champions League and Europa League winners.
But if City lift a Premier League and Champions League double, an extra spot will be available and go to the Dutch champions.
Feyenoord would still likely end up with a European heavyweight in their group but would avoid teams like City, Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli in their return to Europe’s premier club competition.
The Rotterdam giants could be crowned champions in their next game if PSV fail to win at city rivals Sparta and they beat Excelsior a day later.
