“We will not stand idly by.”

VfB Stuttgart sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth’s post-match comments suggested that rumors of head-coach Bruno Labbadia’s imminent dismissal may be true.

Germany’s preeminent footballing publication is now confirming a report surfacing earlier in “Sport Bild” that Markus Gisdol may be lined up as Labbadia’s replacement.

“Today we will first get the emotions and the frustration out of our heads,” Wohlgemuth told Sky Germany “But we shall not stand idly by and watch the collapse. We will discuss solutions and find solutions.”

“As for myself personally, that’s the thing I care the least about,” the coach noted, “It’s disappointing and depressing that we lost the game. It’s not about me. The question is ‘how do we stay in the league’? I know there will be a lot of criticism. Lots of negativity. That’s just how it is in this business.”
