Watch Pep Guardiola drop very frosty interview after Man City vs RB Leipzig, fans think he is ‘cracking’

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has raised eyebrows with fans over his ice-cold post-match interview after his side’s 1-1 draw in the Champions League.

City travelled to the Red Bull Arena in Germany and Riyad Mahrez fired Guardiola’s men into a first-half lead against RB Leipzig on Wednesday evening.

However, Josko Gvardiol pulled back a crucial equaliser in the second half for Leipzig to secure a draw in the first-leg round-of-16 Champions League clash.

Speaking after the match, Guardiola hit out at the idea of City comfortably securing a routine 4-0 win and insisted it is not as easy as fans would expect.

“I was happy for the whole game, not just the first half. What do you expect?” Guardiola told BT Sport.

“To play a friendly game here? How many games have you seen of RB Leipzig? People expect us to come here and win 0-5?

“That’s not the reality. It’s a competition where in the group stages many important teams are out and it’s difficult.

“We knew it. It was our fourth game in 10 days, all away games with travelling.

“We are a good team and do many, many good things — we are continuing to do this. If people expect us to win 0-4, I’m sorry, we are not able to do this.”

However, fans are from convinced by Guardiola’s post-match remarks and believe the City boss is “cracking” under the pressure this season.

“Well, yes, when you spend that much money, you should be the far superior team to bloody Leipzig,” one fan said.

Someone else commented: “Baldie is cracking.”

A third added: “I love Pep, but if you have watched his press conferences this year, you can tell something ain’t right with this City squad.”

“The man is cracking, LOL,” a Twitter user wrote.

While one fan posted: “Pep has been abysmal this season, he’s been terrible.”
