Völler feedback on Flick’s future as Germany coach

Following Germany’s 1-4 loss to Japan, DFB sporting director Rudi Völler commented on recommendations that Hansi Flick’s time as Germany coach may very well be over.

After tonight’s embarrassing 4-1 defeat to Japan, Germany sporting director Rudi Völler refused to ensure that Hansi Flick will stay as coach past Tuesday’s pleasant in opposition to France.


Requested if Flick will stay Germany coach, Völler stated in a post-match interview:

“We should always gather ourselves first.

“Tomorrow we’ll do some coaching. Then we’ll play France. After that, we should always do some soul-searching and take into consideration the way in which ahead.”

The previous Bayer 04 Leverkusen boss was in a state of shock after the heavy defeat.

“We’re all nonetheless in shock. The environment was nice, the followers had been on our facet. They supported us till the rating was 1-1 after which we made too many errors.

“It was a humiliation, however we deserved it. A defeat like that hurts,” stated Völler.
