Twitter Erupts As Lahore Qalandars Win One-Run Thriller Against Multan Sultans To Win Back-to-back PSL Titles

Lahore Qalandars (LHQ) won a thriller against Multan Sultans (MS) in PSL 2023 final. Lahore Qalandars won the match by 1 run and have won back-to-back titles in PSL. Shaheen Afridi’s all-around performance did wonders for the team. Shaheen had played a cameo of 44 runs in 15 balls & while bowling he took 4 scalps & gave away 51 runs in his 4-over spell.

Multan Sultans (MS) showed a never to say die attitude as not many gave them a chance when they required 35 runs to win in the last 2 overs. Khushdil  Shah tried his best but couldn’t take the team over the finish line as on the last ball, Multan Sultans required 4 runs to win. Khushdil Shah was run out on the last ball while taking the 3rd run where he scored 25 runs in 12 balls where he struck 3 fours & 1 six. Multan Sultans would be quite dejected as the likes of Kieron Pollard & Tim David couldn’t bat responsibly.

Lahore Qalandars (LHQ) became the first team to defend the title in PSL history. It was a collective effort from the LHQ batters as the partnership of 66 runs between Abdullah Shafique & Shaheen Afridi proved to be decisive. Multan Sultans would rue the fact that they gave away 71 runs in the last 4 overs where LHQ posted a mammoth total of 200-6

Multan Sultans (MS) batter Rilee Rossouw should have stayed a bit longer. The left-handed batter scored 52 runs in 32 balls where he struck 7 fours & 2 sixes. Multan Sultans should be proud of their performance as they dominated the PSL 2023. LHQ on the other side would be over the moon as it was a hard-fought victory where Multan Sultans made comebacks against the run of play.
