“They Are A Hard Team To Beat”- Ben Stokes Aware Of New Zealand’s Comeback

England Cricket Team would be aiming to keep the winning run continue in the 2nd Test Match scheduled on 24th February after thrashing New Zealand in the opening Test Match. Skipper Ben Stokes has been magnificent in his leadership where he has marshaled his troops smartly. Ben Stokes-led side has been quite ruthless in all the 3 facets of the game where their ‘Bazball’ has been quite fruitful.

New Zealand needs their star batters: Kane Williamson & Tom Latham to grind the opponent. All eyes would be on the wicket-keeper batter Tom Blundell as he was the biggest positive where he struck a century in the 1st innings where England pacers were bowling impeccable line & length.

Ben Stokes on New Zealand

Ben Stokes was seen interacting with the media ahead of the 2nd Test Match and was asked about New Zealand.

“They’re obviously a hard team to beat at home. And, you know, obviously, it’d be great to leave here with a 2-0 series win. I don’t think we’re going into this game, you know, looking to achieve that. I think what we will be going into is just looking out and, going on and trying to play the exact same cricket we have done over the last 10 to 11 months.” said Ben Stokes.

Ben Stokes on bowlers

Ben Stokes was asked the reason behind naming the same playing 11 for 2nd Test Match.

“It was just a case of seeing how the bowlers pulled up and they’ve all pulled up pretty well, especially after looking at the wicket yesterday. An unchanged team.” said Ben Stokes.

“I mean. There’s a lot of grass out there, I don’t think you can read too much into that in particular here. That’s what the wicket look like. Sometimes it can offer a lot for the seamers but also heard from Baz (Brendon Barrie McCullum) as well that sometimes play in favour of the batters.” he added.
