The 10 most valuable goalkeepers in the world have been ranked, David de Gea only 33rd

The 10 most valuable goalkeepers in world football have been ranked.

After a long 22/23 season, the summer transfer window is now set to take centre stage.

During what is bound to be a busy period, many clubs will be looking to add quality to their respective squads.

Ahead of the transfer window, Transfermarkt have ranked the 10 most valuable goalkeepers in the world.

Starting off the list is Atletico Madrid stopper Jan Oblak, once dubbed the best in the world, the Slovenian now has a transfer value of €35 million.

In ninth place, Andre Onana of Inter Milan also has a value of €35 million, Onana impressed during Inter’s run to the Champions League final and has been linked with a move to Manchester United and Chelsea.

Borussia Dortmund keeper Gregor Kobel was ranked eighth and again has a value of €35 million.

Next up is Arsenal number one Aaron Ramsdale, who has a transfer value of €38 million. Liverpool Alisson, Real Madrid’s Thibault Courtois and AC Milan’s Mike Maignan were ranked sixth, fifth and fourth respectively with a value of €45 million.

Kick off the top three is Manchester City’s treble-winning goalkeeper Ederson, with Porto stopper Diogo Costa just missing out on the top spot.

The goalkeeper with the highest transfer value is Paris Saint Germain’s Gianluigi Donnarumma, who is rated at €50 million by Transfermarkt.

United keeper David de Gea, who won the 22/23 Premier League Golden Glove did not make the cut and was ranked in a surprising 33rd place, with a transfer value of just €15 million.

At this stage, it is unknown whether De Gea will sign a new deal with United after his performances were heavily scrutinised throughout the campaign.

Since the De Gea situation was made public, United have been linked with a host of goalkeepers ahead of the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that United are keeping tabs on the likes of Everton’s Jordan Pickford, Porto’s Costa, Brentford goalkeeper David Raya and Inter keeper Onana.

Who do you think United should sign if De Gea decides to leave Old Trafford?
