Now it is official. There are 10 penalty points for Juventus: this is the decision of the FIGC Court of Appeal against the Serie A side for the ‘Capital Gains Case’.
Recall that the initial sanction was 15 points and that CONI was forced to reformulate the sentence after Juventus‘ appeal a few months ago.
“Called by the Collegio di Garanzia dello Sport to renew its assessment of the sanction to be imposed on Juventus for the so-called ‘capital gains case’, the Federal Court of Appeal has sanctioned Juventus with 10 penalty points in the standings for the current sporting season,” reads the Italian Football Federation’s statement.
“The Court also acquitted Pavel Nedved, Paolo Garimberti, Assia Grazioli Venier, Caitlin Mary Hughes, Daniela Marilungo, Francesco Roncaglio and Enrico Vellano of the charges brought against them.”
Juventus has responded quickly through Francesco Calvo, one of its directors.
“We are not satisfied with the penalty of 10 points, we will see if there are margins to appeal,” he confirmed.
“This year we are up against everyone and everything.”
