Serie A: Ibrahimovic bids farewell to AC Milan without being able to play: I’m not thinking of retiring

Zlatan Ibrahimovic‘s second spell at AC Milan has come to an end. The Swedish striker will have his last game at the Stadio San Siro on Sunday, at the age of 41 and three years after returning to the Italian club after a spell with LA Galaxy.

Against Hellas Verona, Zlatan will probably receive the applause of the San Siro fans in the last match of the final day, where there will be nothing at stake for the home team, already qualified for the next edition of the Champions League, but the veteran Swedish player will not be able to play, having not recovered from the injury that has kept him out of the field since the end of April.

Ibrahimovic, at 41 years of age and having only been able to play four league games this season due to injuries, is not thinking about retirement. In an interview he gave to the Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ibra is clear: “I think I still have things to give and I do not think about quitting. I think I have to keep playing, but I have to find a balance, as in life. Without balance and stability you are a bomb… and bombs explode,” he said.

“I feel like Superman when I play”

The Swede, therefore, puts an end to the possible rumors about his retirement, which shows that it has to be on the field and not injured or without being in full physical condition.

“I’ve pushed myself a lot in recent years, but my head is very strong. I feel like Superman every time I play,” he said in the interview.

Ibrahimovic, who according to his words, knows “nothing” about his possible renewal at Milan, does not hide his desire to continue at the historic Italian club.

“Milan is my home, but I don’t know anything about my contract. I just need to know that I’m a Milan player, then I know what I have to do,” he said.
