Serie A: Accusation made that Juventus fans urinated on Spezia staff during Serie A clash

Two Spezia employees have said that they were urinated on by Juventus fans during the Bianconeri’s Serie A away match at the Ligurian club on Sunday evening.

A man and a woman who work for the club based in the town of La Spezia told the Italian press agency ANSA that whilst stood at the foot of the Juve curva, “they were hit by a liquid and reportedly saw a man urinating on them from above”.

The incident in question has been confirmed by the club itself. Police forces are now working to verify the incident through high-definition images from the video surveillance circuit inside the stadium.

Things did go Juventus’ way on the pitch as they beat Spezia 2-0 thanks to goals from Moise Kean and Angel Di Maria, meaning Massimiliano Allegri‘s side are staying in the hunt for some form of European qualification despite their 15-point deduction for capital gains fraud.

They are now up to seventh place, but need to make up a nine-point gap if they are to get any higher in the table by the end of the season.

Spezia find themselves firmly in the Serie A relegation battle as they are just two points away from the drop zone and have lost four of their last five matches in the league.
