Scott McTominay says his peak will come later

“My dad was sensible as a result of he would all the time say: ‘Simply take your time, son’,” revealed Scott just lately. “‘You are going to develop and you are going to get greater,’ as a result of he is aware of, doesn’t he?

“As a child, you do not know that. And also you all the time suppose: I am all the time the most recent one. However then, once I did develop, once I was 17 or 18, I used to be sat subsequent to him and I used to be above him.

“I used to be like: ‘What’s occurring right here? 4 years in the past, you had been saying to me to not fear, and now look.’

“I’d be considering to myself: I am greater than my dad and he is six-foot two! So it is loopy in that respect.

“The way in which I see it now’s that I grew possibly 4 years after everybody else, so my peak years are going to be 4 years later too.

“So I’m 26 now and my physique age is technically like a 22-year-old. After I’m 30, I’d really feel like a 26-year-old. I’d retire at 38 or 40!”
