Report – LIV Golf, Fox Sports activities discussing TV deal for 2025

LIV Golf and Fox Sports activities have engaged in “high-level discussions” towards a tv contract for the 2025 season, Sports activities Enterprise Journal reported Tuesday.

Extra particular particulars weren’t clear, together with which Fox property would broadcast the tournaments and whether or not Fox would pay a price for the rights, per the report. What is evident is that if a deal is reached with a significant community, it could give LIV Golf elevated publicity and credibility.

The CW Community has aired LIV Golf the previous two seasons, although its viewership has been low. Per Golfweek, fewer than 100,000 individuals tuned in to look at Jon Rahm win the 2024 particular person championship.

LIV Golf has scheduled its 2025 particular person championship for Aug. 15-17 at The Membership at Chatham Hills, close to Indianapolis. These dates don’t battle with NFL video games or faculty soccer video games airing on Fox or the network-owned FS1.
