RCB vs CSK: “My Recipe Is Quite Simple

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batter Devon Conway opened up about his performance in the 24th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). He said that his recipe is quite simple as he tries and play good cricket shots.

Devon Conway was the main architect behind Chennai Super Kings’ 8-run win against Royal Challengers Bangalore. The batter played a bombshell inning and made sure that his side are off the flying start despite losing Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Devon Conway played an exceptional inning of 83 runs in 45 balls which included 6 fours and 6 sixes. He batted with a strike rate of 184.44 and helped his side post a mammoth total of 226 runs and eventually win the game by 8 runs.

Conway talked about his knock and said that he was delighted with the way he played and he just tried to play proper cricketing shots. Speaking at the post-match presentation, he said:

“Very happy with the way things went tonight. I didn’t quite hit the straps in the first few games. Good win for us as a group. My recipe is quite simple – try and play good cricket shots. When I’m under pressure, just try and react and take options that are best for me. I don’t wanna be too predictable.”

Devon Conway further went on to say that he just uses his crease to put bowlers off their lengths. He added that it is, even more, better when someone like MS Dhoni is on the team. He added:

“Just using my crease to try and put bowlers off their lengths. Second year playing for CSK, it’s been special. The support is phenomenal, they are loyal as well. Makes it a lot better when you have MS Dhoni in your team too. We are really grateful.” 

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be next seen in action when they will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Friday (21st) April.
