Raducanu continues restoration from ligament injury to her foot that prompted her retirement from the Korea Open quarterfinals final month after dropping the opening set to Daria Kasatkina.

“I am sorry to say that I will be unable to play in Hong Kong subsequent week. While my foot is making good progress, I want a little bit extra time earlier than I’m match match,” Raducanu posted on social media. “I hope to have the ability to come again and play this event sooner or later.”

The 2021 US Open champion Raducanu has been restricted to only three accomplished matches since her run to the Washington, DC quarterfinals in July.
