punter missed out on whopping £36,000 bet, he did NOT cash out on huge offer

A punter was left devastated after his five-fold accumulator worth a staggering £36,000 collapsed due to Manchester City’s 1-1 draw against RB Leipzig in the Champions League.

Riyad Mahrez fired City into the lead at the Red Bull Arena on Wednesday evening before Josko Gvardiol pulled back an equaliser for Leipzig in the second half.

Leipzig will now travel to the Etihad on 14th March for the second leg of their round-of-16 Champions League tie against City.

However, City fans weren’t the only ones who were deeply disappointed with the result, with one punter missing out on a massive cash-out offer.

Twitter user Connor, who is a Tottenham fan, shared a Bet365 five-fold accumulator ahead of the first-leg last-16 tie in the Champions League.

Connor revealed that he placed a hefty £300 at 120-1 odds, with an eye-watering £36,057.65 return if his bet came through.

The Spurs supporter placed four of his bets on the horse races, including 2-1 on Patient Dream, 7-4 on Seigneur Des As, 2-1 on Fleurman and 13-8 on The Connector at Punchestown.

All of the aforementioned bets came through, with the final bet in Connor’s accumulator being City to win at 17-20 odds.

Even before the ball was kicked in Germany between City and Leipzig, the punter received a whopping £17,754.28 offer to cash out.

And Twitter account Footy Accumulators revealed that Connor received an eye-watering £28,000 cash-out offer, only to see it out and watch the bet fall apart.

“Putting £300 on a bet like that says he won’t care that this bet hasn’t won. Absolutely minted. Either that or he’s absolutely stupid,” one fan said.

Someone else tweeted: “£28k cash out? Silly not to take that.”

“Absolute madness to have not taken it, but I completely understand,” a third Twitter user wrote.

While a fourth added: “28k off £300 and he let it run. F*****g hell.”

And one fan commented: “Fella is gonna be in bits and deservedly so.”
