PGA Tour’s Gary Woodland resting after surgical procedure on mind

Former U.S. Open winner Gary Woodland had surgical procedure Monday to take away a lesion from his mind.

An announcement posted on Woodland’s social media accounts stated the “majority of the tumor” was eliminated through the surgical procedure and that the 39-year-old PGA Tour veteran is now resting.

Woodland had introduced final month that he was identified with the lesion earlier this 12 months and initially tried to deal with signs with remedy, earlier than he and his household made the choice to attempt to take away the lesion through surgical procedure.

Woodland is a four-time winner on the PGA Tour, together with the 2019 U.S. Open at Pebble Seashore Golf Hyperlinks in California.

He performed in 24 occasions this season, making 18 cuts and ending within the high 25 six occasions.

Woodland has not introduced when he intends to return to taking part in.
