Nishikori In, Medvedev and Fritz out of Vienna

Daniil Medvedev and Taylor Fritz have each stepped out of Vienna, whereas Kei Nishikori has entered the sphere for subsequent week’s Erste Financial institution Open.

Former US Open finalist Nishikori accepted a wild card into Vienna.

Former world No. 1 Medvedev withdrew after accumulating a $1.5 million paycheck after absorbing a 6-0, 6-3 shellacking from world No. 1 Jannik Sinner on the Six Kings Slam exibition in Riyadh yesterday.

“I by no means performed in opposition to anybody with the sport proven by Sinner,” stated Medvedev, who’s in search of his first ATP title of 2024.

Fritz, the 2024 US Open runner-up to Sinner, pulled out of Vienna attributable to what the event known as “a muscle harm.”
