We will not imagine that in 2025 we’re having to put in writing an article like this, particularly regarding an alleged member of the Newcastle United fanbase.

After Newcastle’s 2-1 defeat to Fulham at St James’ Park on Saturday, some amoebas took to social media to direct a barrage of racial abuse in direction of Joe Willock, presumably after the midfielder failed to attach with a cross late within the sport.

No matter what Joe Willock did or did not do, the kind of abuse despatched his method is past unacceptable in a civilised society.

What sickens us most, is that these persons are related with our beloved membership and might be seen/written about as Newcastle supporters. We don’t in any method need to be related to these types.

Newcastle United this morning put out an announcement condemning their behaviour and confirming that they are going to be cooperating with the authorities and searching for the harshest attainable punishment.

We’re higher than this!

The membership’s title is Newcastle UNITED and we should be united towards such a behaviour and report it on the first signal.

Hopefully, the actual followers will make an announcement on Wednesday and present Joe Willock the love and respect he deserves.
