Youssoufa Moussoufa has revealed that he and Germany U21 teammate Jessic Ngankam had been subjected to racist abuse on social media following their missed penalties in Germany’s 1-1 draw with Israel of their opening match.

Borussia Dortmund striker Youssoufa Moukoko has spoken out in opposition to racism following Germany’s 1-1 draw with Israel of their U21 European Championship opener.


He and Hertha BSC’s Jessic Ngankam every missed a penalty within the sport and had been subjected to racist abuse on social media in consequence.

“After we win, we’re all Germans. If we lose, these monkey feedback come. Jessic acquired them, I acquired them. It is simply not a part of soccer,” Moukoko mentioned in a post-match interview.

“We’re attempting to assist the crew. Whenever you get messages like that, it is disgusting,” added Moukoko, who was born in Cameroon.

“This time it damage. No participant misses a penalty on goal.”

He identified that it’s miles from the primary time this has occurred to him.

“I am beginning to have had sufficient. It is time to make a press release in opposition to it.”
