Manchester City fans may have to pay eyewatering prices to travel to Istanbul should their club qualify for the Champions League final.
Pep Guardiola’s side unleashed a masterclass in the first half of their Champions League semi-final second leg against reigning champions Real Madrid.
On 26 minutes De Bruyne threaded a pass between a pair of Madrid defenders to find Bernardo Silva, who flashed a finish past Thibaut Courtois to open the scoring.
And just seven minutes later Silva netted again, this time cooly guiding a header into the top corner from ten yards to give City a 2-0 lead and a 3-1 aggregate advantage.
But City could have netted four of five goals had it not been for the exceptional reflexes of Courtois. Meanwhile Real were lacklustre, registering an expected goal of 0.1 in the first period.
Such was City’s dominance, prices for flight to Istanbul have skyrocketed.
Manchester to Istanbul flights
City fans eager to make the Champions League final on June 10 will have to pay an enormous price.
Direct flights from Manchester Airport to Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport cost £988.88, according to Pegasus.
That price includes an outbound ticket at 11:55am on the Friday that cost £469.89, with a return the day after the final at 08:30am, which costs £525 at time of writing.
Should City avoid any late heartbreak, they will come up against Inter Milan in the final. Le Nerazzurre completed a 3-0 aggregate win over fierce rivals AC Milan on Tuesday evening.
