RB Leipzig are set to sign Nicolas Seiwald from RB Salzburg, according to Sky Germany and Leipziger Volkszeitung.

The Bundesliga outfit will reportedly activate a €20 million release clause in Seiwald’s contract to sign him from their Austrian sister club.

The 21-year-old midfielder will make the switch to Germany as a replacement for Bayern Munich-bound Konrad Laimer.

Like many others before him, Laimer himself took the step from Salzburg to Leipzig back in 2017.
