Two Aussie tennis stars shone brightly in Sydney this week to be topped Australian Professional Tour singles champions on the 2024 Perpetual NSW Open.
Recent off her history-making ITF Junior World Tour Finals victory, 16-year-old Emerson Jones cemented her title as a rising star of the longer term, whereas 28-year-old established star Thanasi Kokkinakis reminded us of his credentials as he returned to the winners’ circle.
The NSW Open was Kokkinakis’ seventh ATP Challenger title, his first in Australia, and noticed him hovering again into the world’s prime 80 this week within the ATP rankings.
The South Australian went by the complete match with out dropping a set and scored his most emphatic victory in within the ultimate over prime seed Rinky Hijikata with a powerful 6-1 6-1 win.

“It has been a fantastic week for me and my staff. That is my first ATP Challenger title on residence soil, which makes it a really particular win for me,” Kokkinakis mentioned.
