Journalist explains what Jude Bellingham thinks of Reds after nightmare season

Liverpool’s No.1 transfer target Jude Bellingham has not been deterred by the Reds’ nightmarish season, according to a journalist.

The defeat all but confirms the Merseyside club’s exit from the competition, having also been knocked out of both domestic cups this term.

Moreover, in the Premier League Liverpool are languishing in eighth place, some seven points adrift of the top four and 19 points behind league leaders Arsenal.

In turn, the Premier League giants have been tipped to spend big in the summer to rejuvenate their ageing and injury-prone squad.

Bellingham is reportedly the club’s primary transfer target, though is also the subject of interest from the likes of Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and Manchester United.

Indeed, given Liverpool’s faltering form this term, it has been suggested that the teenager could snub the Reds for another one of his suitors if he chooses to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer.

Bellingham ‘keeping an eye’ on Liverpool

Bild’s head of football, Christian Falk, claimed that Liverpool’s pursuit of Bellingham should not be harmed by the club’s recent struggles.

Writing for CaughtOffside via his latest Substack column, Falk claimed: “I heard that Jude Bellingham is keeping a very close eye on what Liverpool are doing at the moment.

“I’ve been told nobody should think he’s a player that wouldn’t go to Liverpool because of the difficult situation they’re in.

“It’s the other way around – he’s actually the kind of guy who would love to go to a club where he can change their fortunes.

“At Liverpool, he sees that the club is in need of him and that he can build something there, so that’s why the side remains an interesting option for him.

“As you see in the Premier League, they’re not massively far away from the Champions League places but it’s important to note that Champions League qualification isn’t a deal-breaker for Bellingham. Of course, it wouldn’t hurt Liverpool’s chances!”
