Jamie Carragher goes viral after reaction to Liverpool loss to Real Madrid

Jamie Carragher went through the range of emotions during Liverpool’s loss to Real Madrid on Tuesday, and a hilarious video showing his descent into madness had gone viral.

It was all looking rosey in the Anfield garden after 14 minutes of their last 16 first leg against Real, as they looked to get revenge from last season’s final.

Darwin Nunez’s lovely flick had put the hosts ahead after four minutes and supporters must have been expecting another magical European night at home.

However, the smiles on the faces of those in red didn’t last too long, with Vinicius Junior grabbing two goals before half time to level things up.

In the CBS studio, Carragher’s reaction wasn’t as welcoming, as a viral video showing the range of emotions he went through after each goal, proving he didn’t enjoy life after the second goal.

The video may be accompanied by Gary Jules’ version of Mad World but it could have just as easily been placed with The Sounds of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel.

Either song, and the Carragher’s reaction, would no doubt have summed up how the rest of Liverpool’s fan group were feeling as the goals went in.

The former defender screams with elation whilst having a mouth full of food, he gets even more excited for the second goal, screaming ‘was that lucky Peter,’ in the studio, potentially to former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel.

Real’s first is met with a ‘f**k sake’ and anger the ball was allowed into the box, Carragher is even more fuming with the equaliser, first stunned into silence before shouting at Alisson to play the simple pass.

Anger turns to absolute deflation and by the end the former England international barely looks like he wants to be in the studio.
