Vincent Kompany was pleased with his aspect’s defensive show in Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Bayer Leverkusen.

 

Bayern Munich are used to dominating video games, however Saturday’s match towards Bayer Leverkusen was completely different, with the Bavarians pressured to defend for a lot of the sport.

After the 0-0 draw, Bayern coach Vincent Kompany praised his group’s defensive efforts.

“After all we at all times wish to dominate video games. However when a group earns the proper to make us defend, then we’ve to defend. Leverkusen performed very properly in the present day, pressed very properly, secured the ball very properly and fought for it,” stated Kompany in a post-match interview.

“Above all, we needed to defend in the present day. And I’ve to reward my group: We have had so many video games up to now the place we have scored plenty of targets. At this time was completely different, it was all about defending and we did an excellent job. We defended with an excellent mentality. We’ll take that residence with us.”

The draw means Bayern stay eight factors away from Bayer Leverkusen on the high of the Bundesliga desk.
