Despite India’s strong batting lineup being overshadowed by Australia, Umesh, the experienced fast bowler, made a noteworthy contribution with the bat, engaging in a gripping battle with spinner Nathan Lyon on the first day of the match at the Holkar Cricket Stadium.

While Umesh Yadav was at the crease for a brief but thrilling period, Dinesh Karthik, who was commentating during the 3rd Test match in Indore, accurately predicted that the Indian batsman would hit a six off spinner Nathan Lyon. Karthik confidently stated, “I think he’s going to go for a six… It’s either six or out,” just before the delivery.

Umesh Yadav proceeded to prove Karthik’s prediction correct by smashing a six over the midwicket boundary with a powerful slog-sweep, much to the delight of the fans. He later hit another six off Todd Murphy, helping India reach 106-8 in 31 overs. Karthik shared a video of the memorable moment on Twitter, which quickly went viral, and he wrote, “I loved this moment… Hahah #prediction.”

At the end of the day’s play, Usman Khawaja emerged as the highest scorer for the Australian team, while captain Steve Smith and his men managed to accumulate 156 runs for the loss of four wickets in 54 overs. With this score, the visitors have established a 47-run lead over India in the ongoing Test match being held in Indore.
