Hopp refutes report on TSG managerial shake up

Conflicting reports emerging today first claimed that TSG 1899 Hoffenheim manager Alexander Rosen was on the verge of a departure.

Reached for comment by Germany’s Kicker Magazine, club owner Dietmar Hopp has denied this report.

Michael Pfeifer of Germany’s Kicker Magazine contacted Hopp to verify the veracity of this rumor. Hopp was unequivocal in denying hit. The 82-year-old remarked that he was “astonished” to learn of the report and emphasized that, after Hoffenheim won their second consecutive league match on Sunday, he was “pleased with recent results”. Hopp denied all aspects of the report, including an additional rumor that managing director Frank Biel would be leaving.

Hopp’s Kraichgauer remain embroiled in a tough relegation fight, meaning that there still could very well be major front office shake-ups after the season. Whether or not the Sinsheimers manage to avoid relegation, there will certainly be sit downs about the future direction of the club after the campaign concludes. For now, however, it looks to be the case that everyone will be remaining in place for the next six weeks.
