Genie Bouchard’s birthday party was twice as nice this time around.
Former Wimbledon finalist Genie Bouchard reunited with twin sister Beatrice Bouchard for their shared 29th birthday bash on February 25th in Tulum, Mexico.

It was the first time in eight years the twins, who have lived largely separate lives in recent years, have come together to celebrate their birthday.
“Celebrating our bday together for the first time in 8 years,” Genie Bouchard captioned this photo of the sisters together on Instagram. Swipe right to see the Bouchard twins when they were babies.
Beatrice Bouchard shared this shot with her sister captioning her Instagram post “A very special birthday” adding a red heart emoji.
When their parents split, the Bouchard sisters parted for a time as well. Genie Bouchard was raised by her mom, Julie, while Beatrice Bouchard lived with their father Michel.
In a 2021 interview with Fox Sports, Beatrice Bouchard said at times she considered her twin sister “almost a stranger” because of their distance.
“Genie was with my mom pretty much her whole life,” Beatrice Bouchard told Fox. “My dad was with me, Charlotte and Will. We were very separated and it created a lot of tension between my mom and me, between Charlotte and Will, and my dad and Genie.
“It’s still to this day not perfect at all. I’ve seen Genie twice a year since I was 10. I know some people at the grocery store better than I know her. It’s crazy, it’s like she’s almost a stranger.”
In recent months, the Bouchard sisters have posted some shared social media shots in a sign their relationship was growing closer.
Former world No. 5 Genie Bouchard has been trying to rebuild her ranking after undergoing right shoulder surgery in June of 2021 that set her back.
