Footage of Chelsea players walking out of the tunnel before-kick off vs. Southampton is going viral

Footage of Chelsea players walking out of the Stamford Bridge tunnel ahead of their Premier League clash against Southampton is going viral for all the wrong reasons.

It was another afternoon to forget for underfire Blues manager Graham Potter as his side were beaten 1-0 by bottom-of-the-table Southampton.

A trademark free-kick from set piece specialist James Ward-Prowse handed the Saints a crucial win in their bid for survival, while Chelsea‘s poor form – despite their January spending spree – continued.

Much has been said about their below par performances on the pitch of late, but it seems confidence off it is just as low judging by a video posted on their social media channels.

As you can see in the footage above, the Chelsea Twitter account uploaded a clip of their players walking out of the Stamford Bridge with the caption: “Let’s get down to business!”

But many fans commented on their lack of enthusiasm and “aura” as they made their way out of the dressing room.

One said: “Reminds me of walking out to Monday morning PE lesson,” while another commented: “Looks like a bunch of randoms in the same team.”

A third wrote: “Nah it looks like they’re being forced to work for free doing something that can’t stand. My brothers, you are getting paid millions to play football in front of 40 000. You should be buzzing every game.”

A fourth said: “Only Azpi has the desire. Everyone else has no vibes. I could be wrong obviously but I don’t sense anything out of these guys.”

It must be noted that Chelsea signed eight players in the January transfer window, so those additions will need time to settle.

But fans are understandably worried about their form, and manager Graham Potter admitted he is feeling the pressure after the Southampton defeat.

“I am not stupid or naive,” he said. “My job is to keep going and keep helping and supporting the team and take that criticism.”

When asked about changing his approach to show more passion, Potter added: “You can only be yourself and try your best while being yourself.

“I get it that when you are losing that there’s always something you should do or change. I have always been this way and it has gotten me to this point but, at the same time, I know people want something different.”
