Fans are showing that Dixie Dean is a FRAUD and Erling Haaland is the real GOAT

Fans have been digging through the archives to find Dixie Dean’s goals after Erling Haaland’s record-breaking first season with Manchester City.

Haaland joined City from Borussia Dortmund last summer in a deal worth a reported £51 million.

Since his arrival, the 22-year-old has been in scintillating form in front of goal.

Despite setting a new record, Haaland is still way short of Dean’s 60-goal haul for Everton in the 1927/28 season.

Some fans have been digging through to archives and have decided that Dean’s record isn’t that special.

One fan posted a goal Dean scored with a caption that read: “Yh bro I’m not taking Dixie Dean’s record seriously.”

Whilst another video was titled “Dixie Dean big time fraud.”

Another tweet read: “That goal above that should’ve been a foul and an open goal Miss not my striker.”

A second fan added: “Bruh…. I thought I was legit watching Sunday league football Lool.”

Someone else wrote: “That’s literally 80% of Tapin-lan’s goals.”

Whilst a fourth commented: “This is why Haaland is the GOAT, he’s doing it at a time when the league is so competitive.”

After scoring his record-breaking goal, Haaland said: “It’s a special night and a special moment. I’m really happy and proud.

“It feels amazing and I’m really happy and I’m also happy for the three points.”

He added: “Yeah, it’s going well and now it’s time to focus on game by game. I’ve said this for a long time and that’s what the team is doing. The team is so good and I’m happy.”

Haaland will be looking to further extend his record when City take on Leeds United on Saturday afternoon.
