Engels banned for 2 matches following crimson card

FC Augsburg midfielder Arne Engels’ crimson card in opposition to Mainz on Saturday will value the younger Belgian two league fixtures. 

FC Augsburg must do with out Arne Engels till after the worldwide break. On Monday, the German FA’s disciplinary arm confirmed that the 20-year-old’s crimson card in opposition to FSV Mainz 05 on Saturday will value him an extra match. Engels will stay unavailable for Augsburg’s forthcoming fixtures in opposition to Freiburg and Darmstadt.

Engels’ deal with on Mainz’s Aymen Barkok in Saturday’s win led to his instant ejection by match official Marco Fritz. Since becoming a member of the Fuggerstädter final January, the Belgian youth worldwide has been a daily fixture in FCA head-coach Enrico Maaßen’s beginning XI. That continued this season as Engels began all 5 league fixtures, even filling in as a makeshift proper again in the course of the first three video games of the season.

Engels recorded one help in the course of the opening day draw with Gladbach.
