Alex de Minaur will not solo on the Paris Olympics.

Australian No. 1 de Minaur formally withdrew from Olympic singles as a result of hip harm that knocked him out of Wimbledon. De Minaur does plan to play doubles in Paris alongside good buddy Alexei Popyrin.

The 25-year-old Aussie injured his hip finishing a 6-2, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 Wimbledon win over Arthur Fils earlier this month.

That harm compelled a devastated de Minaur to tug out of The Championships giving Novak Djokovic a walkover into the semifinals.


Nice Britain’s Cameron Norrie additionally withdrew from the Olympics at the moment.

World No. 1 Jannik Sinner pulled out of the Olympics final week with tonsillitis. World No. 4 Elena Rybakina, who withdrew as a consequence of a bout with acute bronchitis, and Holger Rune are among the many notable names who aren’t enjoying Paris.
