Alex de Minaur has recorded his career-first top-10 win on grass to e book his spot in an ATP 500 last at Queen’s Membership.
The 24-year-old Australian scored a 6-3 7-6(2) victory as we speak in opposition to world No.6 Holger Rune within the semifinals.
De Minaur didn’t drop serve within the one-hour and 40-minute encounter, saving all three break factors he confronted in a powerful efficiency.
“I play fairly first rate on the grass and I’m having an incredible week,” De Minaur stated after defeating the second-seeded Rune.
“At present, I reckon, was my greatest match to date. So pleased days, we carry on going.”

It’s De Minaur’s eleventh profession top-10 win – and his fourth recorded this season.
This propels De Minaur into his twelfth profession ATP singles last. He owns a 7-4 win-loss file in finals and has gained his previous 4.
The world No.18 now has an opportunity to win his second profession title on grass, having beforehand claimed an ATP 250 crown at Eastbourne in 2001.
Queen’s Membership, often known as the cinch Championships, is among the most prestigious grass-court tournaments on the planet. It was first staged in 1890.
De Minaur turns into the primary Australian to succeed in a singles last at Queen’s Membership since Lleyton Hewitt’s title-winning run in 2006.

“It’s a fairly particular event,” De Minaur acknowledged. “Let’s simply hope I can do one higher tomorrow. It will be fairly good.”
The seventh-seeded De Minaur is aiming to develop into the seventh Australian to win a males’s singles title at Queen’s Membership within the Open period.
