David Beckham has slid into Luke Littler’s DMs forward of World Championship remaining

David Beckham is the newest large identify movie star to ship a message to Luke Littler forward of tonight’s PDC World Darts Championship remaining.

The 16-year-old, a boyhood Manchester United fan from Warrington, has acquired a ton of help as he prepares to face world primary Luke Humphries.

Forward of his final 16 conflict towards five-time world champion Raymond van Barneveld, he was despatched messages by Luke Shaw, Gary Neville, Rio Ferdinand and Jonny Evans.

And this week, David Beckham slid into Littler’s DMs to voice his help for the teenager, who has recorded wins over Brendan Dolan and Rob Cross within the remaining levels.

Talking to talkSPORT pair Andy Goldstein and Darren Bent, Littler opened up concerning the messages and even revealed what Beckham mentioned.

“It has been loopy. My Twitter followers have shot up, my Instagram followers have shot out the window. I’ve even had messages off David Beckham, Romeo [Beckham], Luke Shaw…”

Goldstein, greatly surprised by the revelation, intervened and mentioned: “You bought a message from Becks? Was it a DM? What did it say?”

Littler responded, saying: “I believe it mentioned: ‘Effectively completed, as soon as a Purple at all times a Purple’. Then Romeo is there [at the Alexandra Palace] tonight and he mentioned good luck.”

Final week, Littler opened up on his dialog with Arsenal pair Declan Rice and Aaron Ramsdale forward of his conflict towards Raymond van Barneveld.

Rice and Ramsdale had requested safety to have their picture taken with the 16-year-old, who was staying on the identical London lodge as Arsenal.

“I mentioned, ‘They need an image with me?’” Littler advised the Telegraph. “They got here out and so they have been like, ‘You’re smashing it. Can’t consider you’re solely 16. Simply stick with it’.”

Littler has already earned a life-changing £200,000 after beating the likes of Brendan Dolan and Rob Cross. He’ll now be hoping to scoop the £500,000 prize cash that comes with successful the Sid Waddell trophy.
