Cristiano Ronaldo ignored for Robert Lewandowski in Antony’s ‘perfect player’

Cristiano Ronaldo might be acknowledged as one of the greatest footballers in the history of the game but he’s not good enough to make up Antony’s ‘perfect footballer.’

Despite the fact that some people believe the debate between Ronaldo and Lionel Messi is over, there is no doubting how good the Al Nassr star has been throughout his career.

You’d imagine that most other players on the planet would want to have the skill of Real Madrid’s all time top goalscorer and if they had the chance to build a footballing monster akin to Frankenstein’s creature they’d use something from him.

That’s not the case for United star Antnoy, despite the fact that the Brazilian started his time at Old Trafford playing with the Portugal star.

Asked to pick players to make up his ‘perfect’ specimen, the former Ajax man went with Robert Lewandowski’s finishing above Ronaldo’s, as you can see in the video below.

For dribbling and flair the 23-year-old confused everyone by picking Neymar in the former and Messi in the latter, with fans thinking it should have been the other way around.

Having seen Bruno Fernandes’ passing up close this season it’s no surprise that Antony picked his United teammate for that piece of skill.

Shooting would have been the most expected thing for Antony to pick Ronaldo in but instead it went to Lewandowski, which is kind of understandable.

Presumably Ronaldo was asking Antony why he doesn’t rate his shooting. Image: Alamy

He will already be facing former Real Madrid teammate Karim Benzema and Portugal colleague Ruben Neves when next season starts.
