Chelsea fans troll Man United supporters for Mykhailo Mudryk memes after Liverpool meltdown

Chelsea fans have been trolling Manchester United fans on Twitter after jokes they made about Mykhailo Mudryk backfired.

Mudryk has endured a slow start to life at Chelsea since making an £88m move from Shakhtar Donetsk in January.

The Ukrainian international has failed to register a single goal contribution in his first six outings for the club and in anticipation of his seventh appearance, fans of rival clubs took the opportunity to poke fun.

Memes started appearing on Twitter of Mudryk wearing a tuxedo with the tagline ‘007’, in reference to his zero goals and zero assists in seven matches.

Mudryk didn’t make his seventh appearance in the end, as he was an unused substitute during Chelsea’s 1-0 win against Leeds on Saturday.

Of course, Chelsea fans wasted no time in pointing this out to their tormentors.

“Man United fans were getting gassed over Mudryk potentially being 007, you’re worried about the wrong 7,” one Chelsea supporter tweeted.

“Potter’s Chelsea kept a clean sheet at Anfield,” another fan pointed out, before another chimed in, “Man United fans were worried about the wrong 007,” in reference to the scoreline.

Fans of other clubs got in on the act too, the opportunity to mock United fans not something to be missed.

“I can’t believe we waited for Mykhailo Mudryk 007 day to arrive only for Manchester United to claim the crown,” one fan tweeted.

Some United supporters did hit back, pointing out that in the grand scheme of things, United are in much better shape than Chelsea.

“I know we conceded 7 but I know a mid-table club ain’t piping up like this,” one fan said.

United remain in third place in the Premier League table despite the embarrassing defeat, while Chelsea remain in 10th position despite earning a much-needed win.
