Baron Corbin takes on the ‘Island Green’ at TPC Sawgrass ahead of THE PLAYERS Championship

WWE Superstar Baron Corbin went one-on-one against the iconic “Island Green” ahead of THE PLAYERS Championship. No, the Island Green is not a brave in-ring challenger; it’s one of golf’s most famous holes – the 17th at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., home of PGA Tour’s THE PLAYERS Championship, airing this week on NBC, Golf Channel and Peacock.

Corbin’s bout with the famously difficult, 24-yard-wide Par 3 island (well, peninsula) hole was certainly a challenge for the seasoned Superstar. While he gave it noble effort, Corbin dropped several golf balls in the surrounding pond.

“I’m happy to leave this one to the pros,” he remarked.

While Corbin won’t be joining the field at THE PLAYERS Championship this year, you can catch PGA Tour standouts including Rory McIlroy, Rickie Fowler, Jon Rahm and Scottie Scheffler at one of golf’s most prestigious events this week. THE PLAYERS airs Thursday and Friday from noon to 6 p.m. ET on Golf Channel, and Saturday and Sunday from 1-6 p.m. on NBC. You can also watch THE PLAYERS on Peacock. Don’t miss when WrestleMania Goes Hollywood Saturday, April 1, and Sunday, April 2, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Peacock.
