The ITIA said it sent Dorcil a pre-Charge Notice of an Anti-Doping Rule Violation on January 10, 2023 under Article 2.1 of the Programme (presence of a Prohibited Substance in a Player’s Sample) and/or Article 2.2 (Use of a Prohibited Substance without a valid TUE).

Dorcil, who earned a WTA-high ranking of 1255, was tested while competing at an event in Lima, Peru in November 2022.

The sample provided was split into A and B samples and the subsequent analysis of the A sample found that it contained Boldenone and its metabolites, which is a non-specified substance on the World Anti-Doping Agency prohibited list. Adverse Analytical Findings for non-Specified Substances carry a mandatory provisional suspension.

Analysis of the B sample confirmed the finding. Whilst provisionally suspended, Dorcil is ineligible to compete in or attend any sanctioned tennis events organized by the governing bodies of the sport.
