Ravi Shastri on WTC Final

Ravi Shastri was having an interaction with ICC and was asked about BGT 2023 & WTC 2021-23.

“A 4-0 win here psychologically does send a strong signal to the opposition. There will be an impact, but conditions are different as Australia will have their fast bowlers back as a lot of them are injured, But that psychological dent will make India believe that, even in those conditions, they’re good enough to upstage Australia.” said Ravi Shastri.

Concerns for Australia

Head Coach Andrew McDonald needs to pull a rabbit out of the hat as currently, the batters are quite clueless against the spinners. The team perhaps need to take session by session as we witnessed how the Aussies lost 9 wickets in a solitary session in the 2nd Test Match of 2nd innings.

It looks unlikely that Matt Renshaw would get another chance as Cameron Green has been declared fit & is available for selection. The problem with the Aussies so far in the series has been that they haven’t rotated the strike due to which they have allowed the bowlers to get under their skin. The batters need to use their feet rather than playing sweep & reverse sweep shots.
