Hansi Flick tried to focus on the positives after Germany’s loss to Poland.
Germany suffered a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Poland in a friendly in Warsaw on Friday night.
But while the result wasn’t what Germany were hoping for, head coach Hansi Flick felt there were positives to take from the performance.
“The result is extremely disappointing. We didn’t have much pace and very few clear-cut chances. We improved in the second half and created chances for ourselves,” Flick is quoted as saying by the German Football Association.
“Wojciech Szczsny made great saves to deny our chances. We can take positives from the second half, but we need more urgency. Malick Thiaw had a great game, so we’re pleased to have a young player that can play at a high level.”
