Since arriving at Bayer Leverkusen from Stade Rennes final summer season, Martin Terrier has been hit by damage after damage – and now he is going through one other spell on the sidelines.
The Frenchman was pressured off early in Saturday’s 3-1 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach with what seems to be a critical damage.
“It does not look good,” revealed Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso in a post-match interview.
“There shall be assessments tomorrow, however the feeling in the mean time is just not good. The way in which he appeared backwards is typical of an Achilles damage. It is a disgrace for Martin.”
Granit Xhaka sympathized together with his teammate and, like Alonso, had a foul feeling in regards to the damage.
“I actually hope it is not what we expect and what he felt. It will be a slap within the face for the membership and us gamers. It is one thing that may maintain you out for some time.”
