Gabby Agbonlahor has called on Graham Potter to be “sacked” over his post-match interview after Chelsea’s shock 1-0 defeat to Southampton on Saturday.
James Ward-Prowse’s stunning free-kick beat Chelsea No 1 Kepa Arrizabalaga in first-half injury time to send Southampton into the lead at St Mary’s.
Chelsea were unable to break down a resilient Southampton and the Saints maintained their lead to secure all three points at home.
The Blues’ latest setback has left Potter’s men languishing in 10th place, with Chelsea 10 points adrift from the Premier League top four.
Potter has faced mounting criticism over Chelsea’s poor run of form and after the Premier League club’s lavish spending spree in the January transfer window.
“You have to see it for what it is. We had to make some changes because of the Champions League,” Potter said.
“We’ve had to make some changes because of the situation we’re in and boys coming back from injury.
“When you make those changes, it can be difficult against a team that is well prepared.”

Agbonlahor pulled no punches towards Potter over his post-match remarks and called out the Chelsea boss over his “complaining.”
Speaking to talkSPORT, he said: “He should be sacked for that post-match interview.
“What are you talking about? They haven’t got a manager, you’re playing a team in disarray who can’t get back-to-back wins together.
“You’re complaining that you’ve had to bring Mykhailo Mudryk off the bench and start Joao Felix? Are you joking me?
“Poor Graham! Poor you, Graham… Wow… I think as well… There is an English bias.”
