ROME (AP) — Gamers and coaches throughout the highest males’s soccer league in Italy had pink marks painted on their faces on Saturday and Sunday to advertise a marketing campaign for the elimination of violence towards girls.
The initiative coincided with Saturday’s rallies throughout Italy to mark the Worldwide Day for the Elimination of Violence towards Girls, simply as an Italian man suspected of killing his ex-girlfriend was extradited from Germany.
The slaying of 22-year-old college scholar Giulia Cecchettin, allegedly by the hands of her former boyfriend, sparked outrage throughout Italy, the place on common one lady is killed each three days.
